The Valley of Prompts: Under the Bridge of Nowhere.
A new weekly prompt which implores you to explore your the conditions of your poe-ness.

Welcome to the Valley of Prompts— a place born not from stillness but a desire for the dark and gothly. To write and teeter the edge of the human condition, letting yourself sway into madness and passion alike. It is a place to explore your inner soul, and to test your ability to write— if not like poe, then as a member of this Collective.
Each week we’ll exploring a new prompt. Some will be based on the works of Poe, and others may feel inspired by his core themes instead. Others may be silly, to give us a break from the melancholy that fills our lives.
After the prompt is given, we’ll shout-out some works submitted to our weekly prompt thread (in our subscriber chat). However, since this is the first prompt post, there’ll be no shout-outs here.
At the end of this valley, you’ll find yourself standing at a crossroads. Here you must vote to help inspire next week’s prompt. Your choice matters, so decide your fate wisely. Now with this introductory stuff out of the way, let’s give you this week’s prompt.

This Week’s Prompt: Under the Bridge of Nowhere.
“Wake up,” a distant voice urges you. Your eyes open, slowly at first, then blinking. Your whole body is aching and stiff, like you’d just gone through an intense workout. But when you come to, you discover you’re laying in the middle of a bridge.
“Where am I?” You ask to no one, rubbing your eyes and squinting as you look around. It takes you a moment to process the only thing you can see is this bridge. There are no hills or cliffs to accentuate the horizon. There is only this bridge… and you.
Fascinating right? Once again, please make sure to share your piece in our weekly thread to be considered for a shout-out. To give everyone a fair chance, shout-outs will be selected at random.
Now before we end off this week’s prompt post, it looks like you’ve just reached the crossroads. I’ll leave you here to make your decision, but remember what I told you. Your choice matters, so choose wisely.
Lovin' it already.
The box one, definitely.
